ATSF F3's 200 LABC by Herb Kelsey (atsf37l) as modified from a cat-whisker Santa Fe reskin by Anthony D. Cook.

This model represents F3 number 200 of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad, as delivered in October of 1948. Of the locomotives of the 200 class, only the 200 LABC and 201 LABC were F3's. 202 LABC through 280 LABC were various models of F7.

These engines were actually designated by EMD as F5's and were transition engines between F3's and F7's. The only difference between these locomotives and the F7 model was the cooling ducts of the dynamic brakes. These engines had the rectangular vents instead of the 36" fan of the F7s.

These models are aliased to the cabview and sounds of the default GP-38 so that all can use them without modification. If you own Marc Nelson's marvelous F-unit packs with the great sound and cabview you will certainly want to alias the controls and sounds to those engines.

I want to thank Marc Nelson for his contribution to the hobby of these wonderful F-units and his willingness to allow us to repaint and share the older units.

I also thank Anthony D. Cook for the cat-whisker paint scheme. Great job! All I had to do was change the numbers around!!
