Unzip this folder directly to your Trainset folder. (Alternately, unzip this folder to any location convenient to you, then Move or Copy it to your Trainset folder.) Create a consist using this car, and enjoy. For ease of finding the new cars (one loaded, one empty) among your rolling stock, its name begins with "Airslide 50' ADMX... ...."

Airslide hoppers were built by General American Car company (GACX). This model is of the double bay" (actually two pairs of discharge bays side-by-side) 4180 cubic foot model, approximately 55 feet long. This car has gussets on the car ends.

This first large model of the Airslide hopper was manufactured well into the 1980s. These cars often carried edible commodities such as flour, sugar, and bicarbonate of soda. Many of these cars are still in use.

ATSF is provided in loaded and empty versions. The empty is based on a separate shape marked by a dingling cap near the air piping assembly.

These models are highly detailed, high-poly models, and are a bit resource-hungry. Each car is furnished with 4 LODs to ease computer resource use. They have not been field-tested on low-end computers.

Other thanks go to George Mathews II for his remarkable shape building, to Lee Gautreaux for his inspiration and research library, and to Otto Wipfel, Joe Morris and Bill Prieger for their work on Bin-suitable coupler values.
