A snootnose Heritage 3 repaint

This repaint also includes a freight animation to correct several mapping issues that occurred due to the modified .ace files. Freight animations add polycount to the original model and can reduce framerate, playability, and on slower computers, cause MSTS to freeze entirely. Many enthusiasts of MSTS have found that by installing a patch known as MSTS BIN, most of these problems can be reduced or eliminated. Though MSTS bin is "use at your own risk" and not authorized by Microsoft, you can find more information at http://mstsbin.uktrainsim.com.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Unzip from this download the folder "BNSF_SD40-2_6806" and place it in your TRAINSET directory of MSTS.
Common location: (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\TRAINS\TRAINSET)

2. Locate the original installation folder for the Locomotives of the Streamlines product; Seligman Route.
Common location: (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\TRAINS\TRAINSET\SLI.SELIGMAN)

3. Locate and copy the file ( SF_SD40_2_5126.s ) in the SLI.SELIGMAN folder and paste it into the newly created folder named BNSF_SD40-2_6806.

4. Rename the copied file ( SF_SD40_2_5126.s ) to read ( BNSF_SD40-2_6806.s )

5. Make a consist with the utility of your choice and Enjoy.

Please note:

For ease of installation to the community as a whole, this repaint includes aliasing to reference the Default MSTS GP38 sound and cabview files. If you have moved, renamed or deleted this original Locomotive or its files, THIS REPAINT WILL NOT WORK without additional modification by the end user. With the vast availability of alternate sound and cabview files in the file library, as well as those that came with your original Streamlines product, I'm sure most will choose alternates to their satisfaction.
