Including:
COMBINATION MAIL AND BAGGAGE CAR #34
BAGGAGE CAR #42
3D Modeling and textures (c)2006 by Tim Muir

Maryland & Pennsylvania Motor Car #62 was built in 1928 by the St. Louis Car Co. - Electro Motive Corp.. It was the more modern and more powerful, and some think more attractive, of the Ma&Pa's two motor cars. It weighed 122,720 pounds and had 440 hp.. It was retired in 1955.

Unzip to a temporary folder and move MaPa_62 folder to your .../TRAINS/TRAINSET folder. Move "Ma&Pa Heavey Express.con" file into your .../TRAINS/CONSISTS folder. You are now ready to take the #62 and the two included baggage cars out along the line in your favorite routes.

There are two shape files included in the MaPa_62 folder:
1.) mapa_62_parts.s : has four opened engine room vents on the roof. This shape has caused the sim to crash once on Andre Ming's A&O Sub route in the 4-key camera view, with the camera pointing straight down on the roof, (after 5 tries). Because of this I opted to make a second simpler shape in case users have the same problem,
2.) mapa_62_partsVC.s :with all four vents closed (VC), which are simple box shapes and more stable.
To change out the shapes, simply edit the engine file FreightAnim tag by adding the "VC" to the line:
FreightAnim ( mapa_62_parts**.s 1 1 ) To revert back to the opened vents, remove the "VC" from the shape tag.
It's easier than I make it sound.

Credits:
Paul Precht, for the request, supplying some data and photos.
Frank Musick, for supplying the fine plans of all three cars.
Chuck Zeiler, sounds, physics,
Paul Deverter, lights
Bill Hall, cabviews (for Port City Car Company's Doodlebug).

My apologies for not supplying an interior or custom cabview on this model. Because of the many details along the bottom and top of this car, and the detailed trucks and frail boiler-tube pilot that these cars have, I quite frankly ran out of polygons that the sim would accept without crashing. And, too, I have no good photos of the cab and have no real data to go by to build a cabview. As Sherlock Holmes says: "I cannot build without bricks. I need data!" The PCCC Doodlebug cabview is a good one and works well, so with my appreciation to Bill Hall, I chose to use it. More experienced users may wish to trade it out for something else that suits them more.

This car was made for a friend, but is being shared with the V-Scale community in the hopes that it broadens the enjoyment of the hobby and possibly educates some of the younger simmers about a lesser-known mode of rail transport in the glory days of American railroading.

Thank you.
