CSX yard service SD40-2 and 4-axle yard slug set. Joint project with Bernard Grant and the BEW team. CREDITS: Original SD40-2 model courtesy of Streamlines. Original slug model from MLT. Bernard Grant for help with the SD40-2 physics, creating the equivalent of slow speed 'hump control' Bernard Grant for slug shape edits and lighting The BEW team for the SD40-2 air conditioner NOTES: ***This Pack requires installation of these files in the default SLI.CSX directory for proper sounds for both SD40-2 and slug*** The SD40-2 throttle settings have been modified to allow a constant 3 to 5 mph movement of a long cut of cars when in notch 1 to simulate the slow speed hump control/pacesetter feature. Without these modifications, speeds in the lowest notch were significantly higher, beyond the bounds of typical pacesetter operation. The SD40-2 will still pull like a typical SD40-2 when in the consist of a road train, with a max speed of 65 mph. The pulling effort of the slug is set to cut out above 15 mph. REQUIREMENTS: SLI CSX Engine Pack 1 MLT Bala Sub route See www.Streamlines.ca for the CSX Pack and www.Mapleleaftracks.com for the Bala Sub route. DIRECTIONS: Unzip the contents of this archive and place the SLI.CSX directory contained in this archive in yout trainset folder, effectively adding files to your original SLI.CSX directory Part 1: SD40-2 Enter the SLI.CSX directory and create a copy of the file CSX_SD40_2_8159.s and name it CSX_2425.s Decompress the CSX_2425.s with your favorite decompression program. Edit the image section of the decompressed CSX_2425, replacing SD40_8159a.ace with CSX_2425a.ace and SD40_8159b.ace with CSX_2425b.ace Save the text file and recompress. Part 2: Slug Locate the file MLT_CN_Slug.s in the MLT_CN_Slug directory. Copy that file to the SLI.CSX directory and name that file CSX_1046.s Decompress the CSX_1046.s with your favorite decompression utility. Edit the image section of the decompressed CSX_1046, replacing slug.ace with CSX_1046a.ace and slug1.ace with CSX_1046b.ace The next step is to find these lines at the top the shape file shader_names ( 2 named_shader ( TexDiff ) named_shader ( BlendATexDiff ) ) And alter it to read shader_names ( 2 named_shader ( BlendATexDiff ) named_shader ( BlendATexDiff ) ) Then locate the following lines prim_states ( 29 prim_state Main_SolidNorm ( 00000000 0 tex_idxs ( 1 0 ) 0 0 0 0 1 And alter it to read prim_states ( 29 prim_state Main_SolidNorm ( 00000000 0 tex_idxs ( 1 0 ) 0 0 1 0 1 ) Save the text file and recompress.
