I have provided two sets of horn files for use with the Demo F-unit from 3Dtrains.com These were created from a direct to digital capture of a Leslie Single Chime airhorn using an AKG 451 condenser microphone, an ATI mic pre and DAT. I have converted the sample rate and added the needed markers for it to function in MSTS. The high horn sounds are the original pitch of the horn and have had some minor audio treatments to make the volume more correct when using the outside view. The Low horns are created from the same sample and have been pitch shifted down to represent a longer and therefore lower horn. There were several models used on F-units of different pitches and tone so I have provided both for you to pick the one that best meets your needs for the railroad of your choice. You only need to make a choice and then copy both horns into the sound folder for the 3D F unit demo replacing the stock GP-38 horns or another 3rd party horn. I hope you enjoy these and that they add to your MSTS experiance.

These are Freeware. You can do anything except sell them by themselves or as part of a for pay package. If you do, I have added an inaudible sub freqency that I can detect and will be forced to show up at your house with members of my roadcrew and deal with you.Don't try it! Also, No, the horns will not reveal hidden messages if played backwards.

I am continuing my work on the Audio for the Empire State Express Steam Locomotive available at http://www.trainartisan.com/ We are adding lots of neat stuff for version 2. I've created some audio content for the Locomotive and the upcoming ESE passenger cars. The cars will be modeled after the original Budd consist for the ESE. There will also be a cabview with the new one. Best of all. ITS FREE! Keep an eye on the site for updates.
