-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT: You must have the 'DASH9' and 'GP38" folders in the 'TRAINSET' folder with all of their sound files intact so that
your new locomotives can use some of those sounds. If you altered the these folders, you will need get them from your Train
Simulator Disk or reinstall Microsoft Train Simulator.
If you want to check it, it should be here> ../Train Simulator/Trains/TRAINSET/DASH9/SOUNDS and ../GP38
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Installation:
1.Extract the folders from this .zip into a temporary location.

2.Copy and paste,or click and drag, the locomotive folder(s) into your 'TRAINSET' folder
                    > Programs/Microsoft Games/Train Simulator/trains/TRAINSET directory

3.Build your consist using the MSTS Activity editor.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Locomotive information can be found by clicking the 'details' tab in Train Simulator

All our locomotives come with the 1024x1024 textures
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
LEAD vs.TRAILING LOCOMOTIVES

'TU' LOCOMOTIVES CAN ONLY BE PLACED IN A TRAILING POSITION. LOCOMOTIVES NOT DESIGNATED AS 'TU'
LOCOMOTIVES IN YOUR ACTIVITY EDITOR, ARE THE LEAD LOCOMOTIVES.

If you attempt to run a TU locomotive as the lead loco, the simulation will not load properly. That's why it must
have a unique name in the activity editor (i.e., 'TU SP #7505') so you don't confuse 'TU' locos with 'lead' units in the locomotive
list.

TU locos work great as idle units on a siding etc., and will throttle up when coupled by a drivable unit.
If you attempt to run a TU locomotive as the lead loco, the simulation will not load properly. That's why they
have unique names like 'TU S.P. #7505' so you don't confuse them with other locos in the locomotive list of the activity editor.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
AIR HORNS

Operating the air horns on these locomotives can be tricky. The stock locomotive air horns that came with Train Simulator were
made so that they would loop(repeat) without any pops ot clicks, as you force the sound to continue. Although it works well for
that purpose, there is no modulation, or change in shape and character of the horn sound. The horn sounds we use have not been
excessively modified, and have much of their original character. The only problem is that they sometimes will not seamlessly loop.
Most of our horn sounds will give a medium length blast and a short one. We suggest that you play with a specific horn sound until
you have a feel for how long you need to hold the space bar to get the correct blast. The short blast is most easily achieved by
briefly pressing the space bar just before the longer blast has ended.

As an alternative, we have provided alternate horn files you can simply paste into the 'Sound' folder of any locomotive, delete or
rename(or move to another folder) the old horn files, and rename the new ones accordingly. There are two horn files (one for interior,
one for exterior) that must be named correctly so that the two .sms files(cab.sms,eng.sms) in the Sound folder will be able to find
them. If there is no horn sound plaing when you press the space bar, the horn sound file is not named correctly(the .sms file is
looking for something that's not there)

THE LOCOMOTIVES

The SW900 R.I. #900 does not have a cabview yet. We will make one available in the near future

We have included 'MakeTU' folders for the ROCK #234 & R.I. #262 lead units. These 'MakeTU' folders can be found inside the main
locomotive's folder for each. Follow the instructions for making trailing unit locomotives from these lead units.
