Requires ownership of the SLI ATSF Six Axle Pack for .S file. This package includes ATSF SD45-2 units 5700 and 5703 in driveable, AI, and Trailing configurations.

1) Create new folder named SLI.HUDDY in your Trainset folder.
2) Unzip and copy all files into SLI.HUDDY
3) Copy SF_SD45_2_5683.s file from SLI.ATSF folder into SLI.HUDDY
4) Rename SF_SD45_2_5700
5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 this time using SF_SD45_2_5703.

Original Shapes and Textures by Danny Beck of SLI.
New Bicentennial textures by Alan Hudson
Bicentennial Shields and textures by Matt Doti.

Thanks to Matt Doti for helping make this project a reality with his modeling skill and ATSF photo collections. I couldn't have finished this without his help.

All cabs and sounds are aliased to original SLI cab/sounds as I am not allowed to upload repainted cab files. If that upsets you, tough. I've been waiting patiently to release these units for over a year and don't want to see SLI repaints pulled because of incessant griping to SLI.

You may not at any time redistribute the shape files used by this package. I ask that you email and ask for my approval if you wish to use my textures for your own work and that you give me proper credit for the work I have done.

This pack is freeware and not to be used for commercial purposes by others.

Addendum (08-24-2009)

I tried installing this, I copy and rename the necessary .s file and click on the .s file to view it and all I see is a blank loco shape. What did I do wrong? Am I missing something?

In order to get it to work, you must do the following.

ADDENDUM

After renaming the .s files to the name of each engine. You are not done just yet. Next you must open Shape File Manager (SFM), if you do not have it installed on your system, you must do so now. You can obtain it from Trainsim.com. Install it by following the instructions from the enclosed Readme.txt. Now open SFM, navigate to the SLI.HUDDY directory, it will bring up 3 .s files, BicentShield.s, SF_SD45_2_5700.s, & SF_SD45_2_5703.s, with text next to each one, which should say Compressed. Now pass the mouse over the options button next to the .s file SF_SD45_2_5700.s. You will see two options, the top one being Uncompress, click on it and wait a few moments, for the text next to the .s file to read Uncompressed. Now pass the mouse over the options button again, there are more options, click on the second from the bottom that reads Wordpad Edit .S, this will open up the .s file SF_SD45_2_5700.s in Wordpad. From the overhead Edit menu choose Find, in the box type in .ace, click Find Next, this will take you to the filename entry 5683a.ace;

image ( SD40_GLASS.ace ) DO NOT CHANGE THE FORMAT YOU SEE, JUST THE DATA AS DIRECTED!!!
Highlight it to paste over it to overwrite it and change this to read exactly as shown below, SF_SD45_2_5700a.ace. Next go down to the next line underneath this one that reads 5683b.ace, change this (overwrite it) to read exactly as shown here, SF_SD45_2_5700b.ace. It should look like the above format wise with the following; images ( 4
image ( SF_SD45_2_5700a.ace )
image ( SF_SD45_2_5700b.ace )
image ( SD40_INT.ace )
image ( SD40_GLASS.ace ) Save the file by either clicking on the Save icon or File > Save, then exit Wordpad and move your mouse over the options button, select the first option Compress. Your not done yet, you have to repeat the above as follows. Now pass the mouse over the options button next to the .s file SF_SD45_2_5703.s. You will see two options, the top one being Uncompress, click on it and wait a few moments, for the text next to the .s file to read Uncompressed. You are done! Now you can view the models in Shape Viewer, this will tell you that the above steps were successfull. If not repeat the above steps, also make sure it compressed. If you can view them, the next step is to add them to a consist using your favorite method! Don't forget to close SFM.
