Re-skin of SD45T-2 as TRRA 3005 with updated lights, physics, sound, and cabview
Re-texture, horn sound, and cabview alterations by Mike Johannessen
Original 3D model by Chip Buchanan
Some physics by Bob Boudoin and Peter Baker
February 9, 2002

History and upgrade notes:

This is a re-skin of the Dekosoft SD45T-2 version 1.5. I have made the lighting more prototypical, and I have eliminated most of the "interference" caused by lights close together on the same plane. I have also added some of the physics from Bob Boudoin's and Peter Baker's SD physics set, version 4.1.

This engine comes with an AirChime P3 horn recording. It has been edited for use in MSTS, and you can blow long and short blasts with it. As it comes, all of this engine's sounds are aliased to the default GP38. For those of you with North American Locomotive Works' EMD SD40 sound package, I have included an alternate set of files so that you can have the correct turbocharged engine sound. To change the sound aliasing, go into the SD45T-2_9327\SOUND folder and double-click on SD40sound.bat. If, for some reason, you decide you want to go back to the default GP38 sounds, run GP38sound.bat, located in the same folder.

Also included here is a revision of the GP38 cabview with the L-shaped engineer's window appropriate to this locomotive. I have included both low (640x480) and high (1024x768) resolution versions. All unchanged cabview files have been aliased to the default GP38 to save space.

There is a copy of the original Dekosoft readme included at the end of this document. I have deleted its installation instructions because they are irrelevant and possibly confusing.
