Installation Notes:

The 3D Trains EMD F-7 contains many install options.
These skins are designed to augment those.

To install:

1. Install the default 3Dtrains F-7A as per instructions
from 3D Trains. Typically, these files will be installed in
the ..\trains\trainsim\3DT_F
directory, where and are particular
references to the model of the EMD F Cab you bought.

2. Unzip this zip file to the ..\trains\trainset directory.
A new directory pertaining to this specific F-7 derivative will
be created in the ...\trains\trainset directory.

3. Copy the following files from your 3dt trains folder created
in step one to the new folder created in step two.

 *.eng
 *.s
 *.sd

4. for the demo version of the 3D Trains F-7, copy the SOUNDS and
CABVIEW folders from the initially created 3DT F7 folder created in step one
(located in ..\trains\trainset directory)to your new folder named
*_f7a created in step 2.

5. Open the *.eng file in MS Wordpad. (Make sure to use only
wordpad because it is capable of unicode formatting, which
is required here...)

6. Using the search facility in wordpad, replace every instance
of "F7A.*" with the name of your new directory created in step
2...such as in "bn_7a"

7. Open the *.sd file with wordpad similar to the above step 5.
Replace the line "F7A.s" with the name of the file created in step 2
such as "bn_7a.s" instead of "F7a.s".

8. Open the MSTS activity editor and create a consist for the
engine...otherwise it wont appear in your selectable train list.

9. Dont forget to create a consist for the engine so that it
will show up in the game!!!

Enjoy. This isnt as complicated as it seems. Ordinarily I would
have shipped all these files with the default engines, but as the
engines themselves from 3D Trains are subject to improvement
and modification over time, better to leave my distribution to skins
only.

Note: I have included the targa files that were the original source
files for these engines. Please feel free to modify these as you
see fit...however if you republish them, please make sure to give
credit to Eric J. Joiner, Jr. and www.aluminumcloud.com.

Enjoy!
