To Install (You will need to be familure with the Route editor to install the TRAILER). Please check the techdocs folder for the various documents on the different aspects of the tools in MSTS.

NOTE I WILL TAKE NO RESPOSIBILTY FOR ANY ISSUES THAT ARISE WHILE YOU ARE FIDDELING WITH THE ROUTE EDITOR. IF YOU ARE UNCERTAIN THEN MAKE A BACK UP OF THE ROUTE, SHAPE, AND *.REF FILES.

1. Unzip the files (which you may have already done). The TEXTURE folder holds the ACE files for the trailer. The SHAPES folder holds the SD and S files.

2. Decide which route you want to install one or more copies of the tanks into.

3. Copy the *.s file(s) and *.sd file(s) to the SHAPES folder in the route you wish to have the TRAILER installed. You can drag and drop the whole folder that was unzipped in to the folder with that holds your route you wish to install. Or you can copy and paste files into the proper folders. Copy the *.ace file(s) into the TEXTURES folder in the in the route you wish to have this installed into. You can drag and drop the folder that was unzipped in to the folder with that holds your route you wish to install these items into.

4. Back up your *.ref file located in your main route folder. This should have the name of your route example -- Cliffhanger.ref.

5. You will need to add the data from MY Truck.ref file to YOUR *.ref (* = your route's name) file. The Truck.ref document file is included in this zip. This TXT file has been saved in Unicode and is compatable with the MSTS REF files but IS WILL NOT WORK ON ITS OWN. Using MS WORD PAD open YOUR *.REF file in the route you want to add the TRAILER to (this should have the name of your route example -- Cliffhanger.ref). Open my Trailer.reg file. Copy the data there, and then PASTE the copied data at the BOTTOM (end) of your text in your *.REF file. Save it (select Unicode format in the drop down box).

*****
NOTE VERY INPORTANT DO NOT SAVE MY DATA TO YOUR *.ref FILE via the FILE/SAVE or SAVE AS commands. You will overwrite the needed file/data for your route. If you do..and you didn't save a copy (read 4 AND NOTE above)...well...time to reload this particular route.
*****

After you have pasted the data save your file.

6. Next plant (install) the TRAILER to the various locations you want this item to be located at in your route. You will need to use the MSTS Route Editor to install this track art item. MSTS Route Editor is available in the MSTS Game folder.

  Select MS Editors and Tools.
  Select Route Editor.
You will be presented with a drop down box and asked to select a route. Pick the route you copied the files into in the steps above.

Enjoy
