MSTS Causeway Sections Release 1 by Cal Rasmussen (Permission Granted) This initial release contains the following: cswy50mstrt 50 meter straight causeway cswy100mstrt 100 meter straight causeway cswy500mstrt 500 meter straight causeway cswy1000mstrt 1000 meter straight causeway cswy500r5d 500 meter radius, 5 degree curved causeway cswy1000r5d 1000 meter radius, 5 degree curved causeway cswy1500r5d 1500 meter radius, 5 degree curved causeway (These sections are for single track) Installation: Copy the shape files (.s and .sd) into your route shapes directory. Copy the texture files (.ace) into your route textures directory. Copy the text below the dashed line below into your.ref file and save in unicode format. Remarks: Use these causeway sections as you would use bridge sections. When you place a section, right click while the section is selected and click the "terrain object" box. This will make sure the track ties and ballast are visible. If you need to use several sections you can line them up on dry land, select all, and then manipulate all sections at once. Another approach is to lay your track across the water, using the "y" key to raise the terrain after each track section is laid. Then position the causeway sections as desired but leave them positioned slightly above the track, temporarily, so you can see them. Hit the F9 key and push the "y" created terrain down below the water surface. Now make the final position adjustments of your causeway sections. The curved shape in the curved sections may be difficult to see while positioning. To make determining the orientation easier, the texture on the lower wall of the inside curve is light gray instead of the rip-rap on the surface. Once the section is properly positioned, the gray texture will not show. Other causeway sections may be added as necessary. I will accept special requests for special cases. The rip-rap texture used is not perfect. I am still looking for a better texture both online and out in the real world.
