            *************************WARNING!!!****************************

The GM&OSS will not work correctly on small machines (PCs).

DO NOT LOAD THIS ROUTE UNLESS YOU HAVE a minimum of:

3 gig processor,
1gig DDR ram,
256MB DDR ram on board video ram 8X AGP video card,
Full graphics motherboard,
7200RPM or faster HD with a minimum of 1/2 the drive free,
(a normal MSTS PC in other words)

DO NOT LOAD THIS ROUTE with anything less. You will miss out
on the whole reason I made it. Much of the detail will not load (ie, track,
SMS files (which you'll get a warning once you cross from tile to tile),
buildings, trees, wires and polelines...none will load correctly on small PCs)

And....if your just planning on moving the sliders
to make GM&OSS work...don't even bother to go any further. Delete this
route and find one of the payware routes. Most..especially the most recent payware routes
have less detail, and will meet the machine specs your operating with.

There are no warrenties, and if you load this route onto your PC,
you do so at your won risk. I will take no responsibilities for any damages
or problems that may or may not occur after loading this route or required equipment.
Your on your own loading this route.

That being said, this route works great with the right equipment (normal MSTS PCs)
There are 4 small activities, with more on the way from other activity creators.

Test your PC's graphics-handling capabilities and have fun!

Again..this route is NOT for the smaller machines.
****************************************************************************************************************
There is equipment downloads also available with auto installers at www.train-sim.com.
Use them to avoid a massive equipment hunt.

The GM&OSS is a consolidation of many great route addon creators.

It was started in 2001 by Lawrence Kelley at my request. In 1992, I took over and continued the
Project. Lawrence taught me most all I know about route creation. Many thanks to him.

Others who helped with information are to many to mention. Most are included in the read-me's
found in the GM&OSS route folder.

I do also want to thank Scott Miller, Gary Sprandal, Hank Sundermeyer, Marcel, Ron Picardi,
Enocell, and many others. Without great folks like thses, routes like this would be non-exsistant.
It is only by their hard work and creativity that the GM&OSS even exsists.

Also, other items I needed for the route, I made myself in TSM. If an item is not listed in the permissions folders,
then most likely I made the object.

NO ONE, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CAN UPLOAD ANYTHING IN THIS ROUTE WITHOUT MY or the original item creator's PERMISSION.

If you'll simply write me and ask, I will most likely give you permission to use anything I made,
but you must ask first.

The GM&OSS cannot be sold or reproduced in any fashion without written permission from myself to do so.

Now that the lergal hub-bub is out of the way...I hope you all enjoy running on this route. It's mostly Illinois flat farmland,
but that's the way it is here in the Mid-west...lots of cows, hay and cornfields.

I hope if you enjoy this route, that you'll drop by and purchase something from me on my website at www.mstsgmo.com to help me
improve all my work. It's not a nessesity that you purchase anything, but would be nice to at least hear from you via e-mail.

This is the route Rich Garber, Marc Nelson and the other payware boys have modeled and are modeling
their routes after.. over the past 2 years (though they'd never admit it)..and this route is free!
No costs to you wants-so-ever.

hmmmmmm.....

Thanks for giving "THE SPRINGFIELD SWITCH" a try.
