To install copy the track shapes from the shapes directory to the global shapes directory. For a standard install of Train Simulator this is c:\program files\microsoft games\train simulator\global\shapes. To use these track shapes in Route Editor build 40 or later of the standard tsection.dat must be active.

The textures used for track shapes are in each route in the TEXTURES directory. These track shapes use the standard ACleanTrack1.ace and ACleanTrack2.ace textures.

The values of the track radius were selected based on track curvature and then rounded to 10m. Track curvature is defined as the angle of an arc where the chord distance is 100ft (30.48m). Sheet 2 of spreadsheet spiral track selection.xls includes formulas for converting curvature to radius and radius to curvature.
